Annex
Regeneration of the Annex
This neighbourhood, with a population of 16,540, draws its energy from the University of Toronto, from George Brown College, as well as from the bars, restaurants and stores along Bloor Street.
While the traditional boundaries of Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood are north to Dupont Steet, south to Bloor Street, west to Bathurst Street and east to Avenue Road, the census tract includes the land between Dupont and the tracks.

Many of the former rooming houses and multi-unit homes in the Annex have recently been converted back to single-family houses reflecting the return to prominence of this historic Toronto neighbourhood.
Public transportation is easily accessible as there are three subway stations within the neighbourhood and multiple buses and streetcars. The Annex is a 10-minute drive from the downtown core.
